Wake Me When It's Over and Other Stories

Lately, I've had a lot of thoughts and opinions about stuff. But I've also taken a lot of online courses on mindfulness which are keeping me from verbally vomiting all over you. You're welcome. Also, I don't want to become the Gen X version of Andy Rooney.

The alternative to boring you with what's wrong with society right now is sleep. Today I had the thought that maybe I should incorporate several naps throughout my day. It's odd. The weeks feel like they are going fast, but each day is so painfully slow. I suppose it is the lack of scenery. Even the view of tail lights and asphalt would be a welcome change to the same room day after day. The big highlight is now my dog is shedding because we had a couple warm days, so I can watch the fur tumbleweeds roll across the floor until I am compelled to sweep.

I digress. Sleep. That is the topic for today. More sleep, less waking hours full of boredom. Have you read the book My Year of Rest and Relaxation? I didn't think it was all that great, though sales and book charts disagree with me. But the concept is soooo appealing right now. Just maximize my sleep time and start anew next year.

To pair with this concept and novel, may I suggest some music?
